Pablo Campino, member of the Chileprunes Technical Committee and future speaker at the 11th EXPO Ciruelas Secas 2024, will provide details regarding the agricultural actions that make a difference in the orchard.

There are just a few weeks left until a new version of the EXPO Ciruelas Secas will be held again, which this year will hold its 11th version on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.

The hundreds of attendees who will attend the event, including producers, processors and exporters, as well as suppliers and guests of the Argentine prunes sector, will be able to listen to one of the most technical voices in the country regarding prunes: Pablo Campino, member of the Technical Committee of Chileprunes and executive of Pacific Nut.

On the occasion, the expert will review those agricultural actions that generate a positive impact on D’Agen plum production and that at the same time are friendly to the environment “demonstrating that the path to sustainable production is increasingly valid and beneficial for all.”

The idea – he points out – is to transmit sustainable management alternatives, and demonstrate their positive results in fruit or orchards. “Biological, plant, animal and marine alternatives, among others. “With important effects at the soil, plant and fruit level.”

And he adds: “it is about some simple management to apply, changing some paradigms. Integrating these new practices allows us to improve the health of our fields, increase fruit set percentages, and improve our yields and calibers. With all these management programs, producers can increase their profitability in an increasingly sustainable and environmentally friendly way,” reinforces Pablo Campino.

The speaker will also mention the industry sustainability standard that Chileprunes has been working on, “without a doubt, a work of innovation that hopes to differentiate the Chilean prunes, consolidating us as leaders and main actors in this industry,” he says.
