This, within the framework of ENEXPRO Commercial Aggregates 2024, the main activity carried out by ProChile in the matter, marking the beginning of the commemorative year of its 50th anniversary, promoting the offer of Chilean goods and services in the world, seeking to diversify our exports to different markets. of the world

Chileprunes, represented by Bruno Ceroni of Good Valley and its executive director, Pedro Acuña, also reinforced the message that there is greater interest in increasing “presence in Retail and eCommerce, and reducing what is bulk, especially in China, where we sell a lot of raw materials and we want to move towards a finished product,” says the latter.

China’s commercial attachés (Natalia Cortes, from Beijing; Alberto Cañas from Shanghai, and Gonzalo Rubilar from Guangzhou) were reinforced with the message that that country is the most relevant export destination for Chile, and where by 2023 it will have experienced a shipment record of more than 20 thousand tons between dehydrated and fresh.

Together with Marcela Zúñiga, commercial attaché of India, they discussed the relevance of increasing the presence of prunes in that country, for which a 2024 promotion campaign will be developed, seeking to reach the final consumer and also the channel. import into that country. This, after being, a few months ago, exempt from the “Plant Quarantine Clearance”, that is, tenderized prunes from Chile are considered a processed item and therefore do not need plant quarantine authorization to enter the market.

Finally, Fernando Schmidt from Taiwan was expressed the interest in growing exports, showing us as a country with good quality products, with which long-term relationships can be established and that we are sustainable in production.
