Chile Prunes

Orange and prune salad / March / 2015


  • 4 oranges
  • 2 red onions
  • 150 g prunes
  • 50 g almonds
  • Salt and pepper

The dressing

  • 1 /2 glass of lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon

  • Peel and cut the oranges in thin slices; then remove the white parts. Peel and slice the onion finely and remove the pits from the prunes.
  • Place the ingredients for the dressing in a large bowl and combine with a hand mixer or add the oil little by little while whisking with a fork.
  • Put a bed of oranges in a serving bowl or in individual plates, on top of it put alternately the sliced onion, the pitted prunes and the chopped almonds or almonds toasted in a frying pan without oil. Add salt and pepper, dressing and mix well.
