Along the milestones of the year for the Chilean prune industry is the attendance at international trade fairs, notably MEWA India 2026, to be held January 23-25, and Gulfood Dubai on January 26-30.
Chileprunes and its associates will be present at both events:
Pablo Morandé, José Antonio Soffia, and Martín Correa, all from Superfruit; Vicente Cepeda from Prunesco; Sebastián Aguilera and Joaquín Tagle from South 365; and Juan Coloma from Kaikén, all accompanied by Pedro Acuña, executive director of Chileprunes, are part of the delegation that will be present at both Asian events.
Sebastián Plaza from Frutexsa, Marcelo Lacunza from Prunesco, Grace Díaz and Bruno Ceroni, both from Goodvalley, Pedro Monti from Silvestres, José Ignacio Lanza from Baika, Cristián Infante and Domingo Calvo from Pacific Nut, among others, will also be attending the event in Dubai.
The first trade show to be held in New Delhi is an essential event for exporters and importers, retailers, processors, chefs, packaging experts, and healthy product brands. “It has more than 10,000 visitors and 300 exhibitors from 50 countries, where business, innovation, and networking intersect. Therefore, as Chileprunes and the world’s number one producer and exporter of prunes, we will have a stand (sector C-65) at MEWA India,” says Pedro Acuña.
It should also be noted that in India, the Asian giant and the world’s most populous country, Chile is undertaking a public-private effort to promote our dried plums, an initiative led by Chileprunes.
