Chile Prunes

Chicken and prune skewers / March / 2015


  • ½ kg chicken, cubed
  • ¼ kg smoked bacon, cubed
  • 8 to 10 pitted prunes
  • 200 cc white wine
  • Oil
  • Salt and pepper

  • Put some oil in a frying pan, and once hot, seal the cubes of chicken. When they are golden brown, skewer a piece of chicken, then one of bacon, and then one prune. Repeat until the skewer is full and make all the skewers the same way.
  • Then put the skewers in an ovenproof dish and add salt and pepper to taste. Cook in the oven, occasionally sprinkling over some wine. They are even better served on a bed of saffron rice or on lettuce with a vinaigrette dressing.
